The Minnesota Association of Property Evidence Technicians is proud to announce the opening of the 2026 Property & Evidence Technician of the Year Award. This award was created to celebrate the achievements of those Property and Evidence Technicians who have made significant contributions to their department and the communities they serve.
This award will be given to the Property & Evidence Technician who executes their role with distinction, demonstrated exceptional skill in information and resource sharing with others, and consistently adhering to Minnesota State law.
Nominations for the Property & Evidence Technician of the Year award can be made starting May 1st through September 1st. The list of nominees will be posted mid-September with the award being presented during the MAPET annual conference every October.
The winner of the Property and Evidence Technician of the Year Award will have their following year’s annual conference registration and annual membership dues covered by MAPET.
In order for someone to be considered for this award, nominations must be submitted by a professional colleague and have personal knowledge of the nominee’s accomplishments. No self-nominations will be accepted.
