The Property & Evidence Technician of the Year award was created to celebrate the achievements of those Property and Evidence Technicians who have made significant contributions to their department and the communities they serve.


Nominations for the Property & Evidence Technician of the Year award can be made starting May 1st through September 1st.  The list of nominees will be posted mid-September with the award being presented during the MAPET annual conference every October. 


The winner of the Property and Evidence Technician of the Year Award will have their following year’s annual conference registration and annual membership dues covered by MAPET.


Nominations for the award must be submitted by a professional colleague and have personal knowledge of the nominee’s accomplishments.


No self-nominations will be accepted.


Requirements to be nominated

for the award are:


1. Nominee needs to be a current active member of MAPET


2. Nominee needs to be currently working as a Property and Evidence Technician (Full-time or Part-time) for at least 1 year.


3. Nominee's job description must address the maintenance, management and protection of the evidence in the property room.


4. Nominee must be present to accept the award. Award will be presented at the Annual Conference every October.
